Entering the Parade

Parade Rules
- Parade Entry Forms must be received by Wednesday August 31, 2011 in order to be put in the Parade Route. Any Entry Forms received after this date will be placed in line at the end of the parade.
- Registration begins at 7:30 A.M. on Saturday September 3, 2011 at City Hall and ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST CHECK IN! Parade begins PROMPTLY at 10:30 A.M., rain or shine. Drivers and participants must be ready to begin moving by 10:15 A.M. Bring rain gear or plastic covering if needed as these items will not be provided
- Judging is on Saturday September 3rd promptly at 9:00 A.M. All entries must be in place, set-up, and riders must be on entry until all judging is completed. Entries will not be judged if participants are NOT IN PLACE
- Automobiles and Large Vehicles must be driven by a licensed driver
- EXCESSIVE DRINKING, LOUD OR VULGAR REMARKS, AND PROFANITY WILL NOT BE TOLERATED FROM PARADE PARTICIPANTS! This is a family event and all drivers, float riders, and participants are expected to behave in an appropriate and tasteful manner. Floats and entries must also be in good taste and considered appropriate for spectators. Any violations of this will result in the removal of the entry. If you have any questions about what is deemed appropriate, please, contact the parade chairman.
- The Fayette County Fair Association, the Fair Parade Chairman and/or Committee members assume NO responsibility for accidents or loss of any kind.
- No blowpops, suckers, pencils, pens, or any item with stick pins may be thrown from entries. Also, no prescription drugs or over the counter drugs or any items resembling prescription or over the counter drugs may be handed out to spectators or children.
- All equine entries must have a current proof of a negative EIA test within the last 12 months. No exeptions!!
