90th Annual Fayette County Fair Parade

Entry forms will be accepted either by fax, email, or by mail until Wednesday, August 30th, 2017. After that all entries must be brought to City Hall by 7:30 A.M. on the morning of the parade, Saturday September 2, 2017 for late registration. All entries received after the deadline will be placed at the end of the parade lineup in the order received.

Parade Judging begins promptly at 9:00 A.M. and in order to be judged all drivers and participants must be on their entry, in their assigned line up space, and ready to be judged. Participation counts!! The parade starts moving at 10:15 A.M. and all driver and participants must be in their vehicle and ready to move at that time.

The parade headquarters will be in front of City Hall at 155 E. Colorado Street as always, all entries must check in at City Hall the morning of the parade to receive your number and a map showing your line-up spot! The line-up is done the Friday before the parade so that information will not be available until Saturday morning.

Greetings!!!

You are cordially invited to participate in the 90th annual

Fayette County Fair’s Parade on Saturday September 2nd at 10:30 A.M. This years theme is “90th Anniversary of the Fair”.We are suggesting birthday “Celebration”.

The enclosed entry forms will be accepted either by fax, email, or by mail until Wednesday August 30th.After that all entries must be brought to City Hall by 7:30 A.M. on the morning of the parade, Saturday September 2nd for late registration.All entries received after the deadline will be placed at the end of the parade lineup in the order received.

Parade Rules

Parade Rules and Information

  1. Parade Entry Forms must be received by Wednesday August 30th in order to be put in the Parade Route.Any Entry Forms received after this date will be placed in line at the end of the parade.
  2. Registration begins at 7:30 A.M. on Saturday September 2nd at City Hall and ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST CHECK IN! Parade begins PROMPTLY at 10:30 A.M., rain or shine.Drivers and participants must be ready to begin moving by 10:15 A.M.Bring rain gear or plastic covering if needed, as these items will not be provided.
  3. Judging is on Saturday September 2nd promptly at 9:00 A.M.All entries must be in place, set-up, and riders must be on entry until all judging is completed.Entries will not be judged if participants are NOT IN PLACE.PARTICIPATION COUNTS!
  4. Automobiles and Large Vehicles must be driven by a licensed driver.
  5. EXCESSIVE DRINKING, LOUD OR VULGAR REMARKS, AND PROFANITY WILL NOT BE TOLERATED FROM PARADE PARTICIPANTS!This is a family event and all drivers, float riders, and participants are expected to behave in an appropriate and tasteful manner.Floats and entries must also be in good taste and considered appropriate for spectators. Any violations of this will result in the removal of the entry.If you have any questions about what is deemed appropriate, please, contact the parade chairman.
  6. The Fayette County Fair Association, the Fair Parade Chairman and/or Committee members assume NO responsibility for accidents or loss of any kind.
  7. No blowpops, suckers, pencils, pens, or any item with stick pins may be thrown from entries.Also, no prescription drugs or over the counter drugs or any items resembling prescription or over the counter drugs may be handed out to spectators or children.
  8. All equine entries must have a current proof of a negative EIA test within the last 12 months available upon request.No exceptions!!
