Parade Headquarters will be set up in front of City Hall at 155 E. Colorado Street

All entries must check- in and pick up their parade number the morning of the parade.

You’re Invited!

I would like to invite you to participate in the 91st annual Fayette County Fair Parade on Saturday September 1 at 10:30 A.M. This year's theme is “Back in the Day”. -Were looking at maybe a 50’s 60’s theme.-before color tv… “Ward and June Cleaver” when life was simpler…..Back in the Day.


I have enclosed an entry form and parade rules. (please read everything before calling with questions) below you will find some general information about this years parade.

Entry deadline: Wednesday August 29th-after that you have to enter the day of the parade.

(late entries will be placed at the back of the line up as they arrive)


Parade Judging begins promptly at 9:00 A.M. Participation counts!! Make sure your participants are in their assigned line up space and ready to be judged.

The parade starts moving at 10:15 A.M. and driver and participants must be in their vehicle and ready to move at that time.


The parade headquarters will be in front of City Hall at 155 E. Colorado Street as always, all entries must check in at City Hall the morning of the parade to receive your number and a map showing your line-up spot! The line-up is done the Friday before the parade so that information will not be available until Saturday morning.

Parade Rules

Parade Rules and Information
  1. Parade Entry Forms must be received by Wednesday August 29th in order to be put in the Parade Route. Any Entry Forms received after this date will be placed in line at the end of the parade.

  1. Registration begins at 7:30 A.M. on Saturday September 1st at City Hall and ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST CHECK IN! Parade begins PROMPTLY at 10:30 A.M., rain or shine. Drivers and participants must be ready to begin moving by 10:15 A.M. Bring rain gear or plastic covering if needed, as these items will not be provided.

  1. Judging is on Saturday September 1st promptly at 9:00 A.M.All entries must be in place, set-up, and riders must be on entry until all judging is completed. Entries will not be judged if participants are NOT IN PLACE. PARTICIPATION COUNTS!

  1. Automobiles and Large Vehicles must be driven by a licensed driver.

  1. EXCESSIVE DRINKING, LOUD OR VULGAR REMARKS, AND PROFANITY WILL NOT BE TOLERATED FROM PARADE PARTICIPANTS! This is a family event and all drivers, float riders, and participants are expected to behave in an appropriate and tasteful manner. Floats and entries must also be in good taste and considered appropriate for spectators. Any violations of this will result in the removal of the entry. If you have any questions about what is deemed appropriate, please, contact the parade chairman.

  1. The Fayette County Fair Association, the Fair Parade Chairman and/or Committee members assume NO responsibility for accidents or loss of any kind.

  1. No blow pops, suckers, pencils, pens, or any item with stick pins may be thrown from entries. Also, no prescription drugs or over the counter drugs or any items resembling prescription or over the counter drugs may be handed out to spectators or children.

  1. All equine entries must have a current proof of a negative EIA test within the last 12 months available upon request. No exceptions!!
