The Fayette County Fair is always held over Labor Day Weekend in La Grange, Texas. The dates for this year's fair, which will be the 81st annual, are Thursday, August 28 through Sunday, August 31. Every year there is a different "theme" for the fair. This year's fair theme is "The Orient".
Marketing Awards:The Fayette County Fair Association was presented with four awards at the annual Texas Association of Fairs and Events Convention that was held in Austin on January 11, 12 and 13. The awards presented were in the following categories: Best Web Site (under 50,000 attendees), Best Newspaper/Insert (under 50,000 attendees), Best Program/ Brochure Flyer--3 or fewer colors (under 50,000 attendees) and Best Premium Book (under 50,000 attendees).
